In short

linuz.net is a static, self-hosted website with no cookies, no accounts, and no personal data. We run a lightweight, privacy-first analytics script that tells us which pages are visited — nothing more.

What we collect

  • Page views — the path of each page visited (for example /terminal/networking/)
  • Referrer — the site that linked to us (for example google.com)
  • Device information — browser, operating system, and device type
  • Country-level location — which country a visit came from
  • Page performance — approximate page load time
  • Error codes — HTTP errors such as 404 on missing pages

What we do NOT collect

  • No cookies — we do not use tracking cookies of any kind
  • No personal data — no names, email addresses, phone numbers, or accounts
  • No IP addresses stored — an IP may be used briefly for rate-limiting, but it is not logged or stored
  • No cross-site tracking — we cannot follow you across different websites
  • No fingerprinting or advertising — no ad networks, no third-party trackers

How the data is used and protected

  • The analytics server is self-hosted on our own VPS — visitor data never leaves our infrastructure and is not shared with third parties.
  • Visitor IDs are hashed (one-way encryption), so no individual can be identified.
  • Raw events are automatically deleted after 90 days.
  • All connections use HTTPS encryption.

Opting out

Tracking is minimal, uses no cookies, and identifies no individual — there is nothing to block.
